Fortitudo Technologies is a fintech start-up offering novel software solutions as well as quantitative and digitalization consultancy to the investment management industry.

The job

You will work on a variety of projects by assisting the development and maintenance of the codebase as well as cloud infrastructure. For example:

• Performing mathematical and numerical analysis while developing optimization and simulation algorithms

• Analyzing current implementations and optimizing code performance

• Improving UI/UX and cloud architecture

The above will give you valuable experience developing cloud native applications and applying your theoretical knowledge in practice.

Must-haves

• You hold or are about to complete a BSc in computer science, applied mathematics, mathematics, or similar

• You are about to start or are currently at the first year of your MSc in computer science, applied mathematics, mathematics, or similar

• You have achieved excellent academic results and specialize in data science, optimization, and algorithms

• Python programming experience including the most common data science libraries (SciPy Stack)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using Linux with Debian and Ubuntu distributions

• Experience with Git and CI/CD

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, Docker, and Kubernetes

Practicalities

• You will work 15 hours / 2 days per week in the 5-month period Sep 2021 - Jan 2022, giving you 10 ECTS credits

• You will get the opportunity to continue as a student assistant after successfully completing the internship
