Alright, so we're another tech startup that's looking for another backend engineer? Is it even worth reading?

We'd say so, s we're about to embark on an incredible journey building the next big Danish software startup. Founded by a team of early employees in Pleo, we know what it takes to go from zero to traction.

The Product

Next generation data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery and the new contender Firebolt are becoming the standard place to centralize all your data, since they have become affordable and highly performant.

Built on top of modern data warehousing, Weld is a tool for companies of all sizes to become truly data-driven. We provide state-of-the-art data infrastructure that works in a few clicks, without the need of hardcore data engineering. In that way Weld enables powerful analytics and workflows, that can take a company to the next level.

Our first product enables you to easily sync data between your data warehouse and SaaS apps such as Hubspot, Intercom or Salesforce. We plan to quickly expand into multiple parts of the data stack.

We primarily use Typescript both in frontend and backend, as well as Node.js for the backend. Our API is GraphQL based. We host on AWS and you can expect to be contributing across all parts of the stack.

The Team

As a close-knit team of 10-12 people, we're all generalists each with our expertise and constantly picking up new challenges. We're currently looking for people who are eager to learn and who are not afraid of building things end-to-end. We want to find curious minds who can pick up a given problem and solve it. In addition, we'd like entrepreneurial minds join us, who excels in the early stages of a fast-growing company.

We're headquartered in the heart of Copenhagen, but we're very remote-friendly.

The Role

You will be part of our engineering team which currently consists of two other senior backend engineers and a front-end engineer.

You will be building everything from our data pipelines that moves data at scale to specific integrations to data warehouses and SaaS applications.

Ideally we would desire you to have the following skills:

• 3-5 years or more of programming experience

• Experience with JavaScript and Typescript

• Driven by getting your work into the hands of our customers, making them successful

• Strive to write simple, maintainable and understandable code

• Understanding of key backend engineering and distributed system concepts/principles
