At the core of our business, we have our pedagogical model, which we have developed through years of academic research. This pedagogical model is in use in kindergartens and hobby centres around the world, as well as in our digital family product. We’re also featured in Pikku Kakkonen, a Finnish TV show for children, aired by Yle, and we’ve produced children’s books with Sanoma Pro. We support children’s learning everywhere. 

At the moment, the most important manifestation of our pedagogy is in our products for teachers: lesson plans and training materials available via our online platform and carefully developed by our top-notch in-house pedagogical team. We currently have customers who understand English, Chinese or Finnish, from solo teachers to Ministries of Education.

We have won several competitions in our field, and we have investors like Reaktor, Sparkmind,  and Emerge Education to back us up. We also closed a significant funding round, so it is time to change gears and grow our team. 

You’d get to work alongside 14 colleagues, and be a crucial member of our growth and customer success teams. 

We place a high priority on working culture, and we optimize for learning and working collaboratively. We would love you to spend your working time with us at the office in Helsinki*, but remote working is also possible for the right candidate. We’ll offer you all of the tools you need, as well as all of our knowledge and skills.

(*Of course, we’re all remote and rarely in the office until the COVID situation changes.)

The Role

We’re looking for someone to help improve our sales and customer support processes.

  • You’ll help our customers achieve their science education goals, and show our prospective customers how we can help them.

  • You’ll help us build a customer success machine. Help us improve our internal processes so we can solve our customer’s problems better and faster.

  • You’ll research our target markets, understand their needs, and speak their language.

  • You’ll work with our product and pedagogical teams to help them understand the needs of our customer base.

  • You’ll take on new tasks, and learn by doing.

  • You’ll present ideas, backed by feedback and data, and turn those ideas into projects to achieve our business goals.

  • You’ll present yourself and Kide Science in a manner consistent with a world-class company and product.

  • You’ll work in a truly flat and collaborative organization, where all team members have equal rights and opportunities to shape the decisions being made.

Your Requirements

Must Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in sales and/or account management. Customers love you.

  • Are obsessed with “service.” It doesn’t matter if it’s at work or if it’s when you throw a party for your friends: you want people you interact with to be happy.

  • Should be a digital native. You can operate web-based tools without guidance or training‌‌.

  • Native-level fluency in English language. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A data-driven mindset. We’re always testing validating ideas and learning.

  • Creativity and empathy. Understanding others and how we can help.

  • A growth mindset. We’re always improving.

  • Can passionately advocate a cause or project, but pivot if we go in a different direction. We can disagree, but we don’t do conflict.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the education sector

  • Startup experience

  • Skills to work autonomously but also excellent team working skills

  • Experience with Lean methodologies and/or Kanban

  • Experience in Hubspot, Zapier, Google Analytics, and other marketing automation tools
