We are looking for a market gardener with tons of experience growing vegetables to lead our field work across 5 different locations (22 ha).
The ideal candidate have experience leading people and planning crops. We expect you to be a problem solver, a doer and hands on partner to other field workers in the field.
We grow under regenerative, permaculture and no-dig: you're likely the right candidate if you're experienced in these methods.
We are building a sorts of collective where co-workers live and work together with food and accommodation paid (co-living is optional). Starting a farm is difficult for young farmers due to the cost of land and other upfront costs like machinery so we expect some of our co-workers to graduate into their own field, allowing us to continue expanding our network of farms. You will be responsible for leading this effort.
You will lead a team of 8-12 field workers with or without experience working on 22 ha of land. Volunteers with zero experience may often join.
You must have a driver's license.
Experience in chickens in a plus.
The position starts with a 24,000 kr salary but you can also join as a co-founder without salary at first: you'd join a farming collective that is build something big and ambitious, together as a group and salary will only be available on a revenue basis. We pay for your food, accommodation in a collective of like-minded individuals and 3000 kr for small spending. It is our ambition to get salary at 32-36,000 kr per month with 2 months off during the off-season. We offer equity in our company after 24 months.
We give preference to couples with or without kids that can fulfill our multiple roles due to the limited number of rooms available in our house.
