We are looking for an experienced Bioinformatician to help us develop our sequencing data analysis products for customers of Samplix solutions and Services.
You may already have commercial experience but if not, you consider this to be a fantastic opportunity to learn what it means to develop a commercial data analysis service. Likewise, you are enthusiastic about being in front of customers, understanding customer needs and explain Samplix Data Analysis concepts.
Our customers are top scientists at universities, hospitals, and pharma companies who expect an insightful and professional service experience.
You will be working together with our bioinformatic and computer scientists as well as molecular biologists to find the best data analysis solutions for the major Xdrop applications. You will also contribute in generating material for marketing including application notes and slide decks. Great interpersonal skills on top of drive and considerable bioinformatic knowledge will be essential to reach our common goals together.
You will be reporting to the VP of Application and Market Development and the workplace is at the headquarter in Herlev, Denmark.
The working language is English, thus good English speaking, reading and writing skills are required.
Develop and optimize sequencing data analysis pipelines
Provide support both internally to Service and Application scientists and externally to customers
Present Samplix bioinformatic analysis pipelines to customers and collaborators
Collaborate across departments with:
R&D bioinformatic and computer scientists
Samplix Marketing to generate presentations, white papers, applications notes, etc.
internal stakeholders at Samplix to demonstrate technical performance of the Xdrop platform
Help in defining our Services data analysis products and processes
Develop intuitive data analysis reporting
Assist in execution of Service projects
Contribute to our great team spirit
A PhD in bioinformatics or similar background
Extensive experience with Next Generation Sequencing data analysis including Oxford Nanopore long read sequencing
Proficiency with common bioinformatics programming languages (Python, R, etc.) and in Linux environment
Experience with cloud computing, e.g. AWS
Great communication skills both verbally and in writing
A structured approach to tasks and ideally project management experience
A track record that demonstrates your project engagement and timely deliveries
A team player – enthusiastic and responsible
Ideally industrial or customer-facing experience
