Hukka AI is a Finnish startup developing an intelligent, easy-to-use SaaS solution to measure, analyze and reduce food waste in professional kitchens. Our mission is to enable more sustainable and profitable kitchens and we believe that the challenge should be solved with a software-only solution requiring minimal initial investment. With weighing the waste and logging it to Hukka’s intelligent cloud-based tracking system, waste value is typically reduced by 25-45% in just a few months, representing a direct benefit in the bottom line as food cost goes down. We are already working together with hundreds of restaurants to save money and protect the planet on the way.

We are now looking for an Intern to join us in helping our customers to solve one of the most pressing global challenges. In this role, your main responsibility will be working directly with our product team to develop user-friendly UI/UX throughout the entire product cycle. The tasks will focus on visual design (both UI and other visual elements of the platform) and user research (identifying user needs, gathering feedback, conceptualizing).

This is a flexible position depending on your preferences:

• 3-4 months

• Choose your own working hours – output matters

• Fully remote

• Possibility of landing either a longer contract or a permanent position

To succeed in this role, you:

• Have a solid foundation in typography, layout, and design

• Some prior experience in UI/UX design for digital products, ideally B2B platform

• Can quickly adapt and understand the mind, and the use context, of our users

• Startup-mentality

It´s a great plus if you can speak and write both in Finnish and English.
