What we are looking for

We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Career Coach, who:

• Is confident in the English language.

• Has 2+ years of experience (if you don’t have 2+ years of experience, but are convinced you are still the perfect fit for the role, then still apply!).

• Know the ins and outs of the Finnish job market.

• Is excited by the prospect of working in a fast paced startup environment.

• Is comfortable working in a fast paced startup environment (in case you hadn’t noticed we prefer to “walk the walk” than “talk the talk” at The Shortcut).

• Revels in the opportunity to build long lasting relationships with partner companies.

• Is ambitious and constantly looking to grow as a Career Coach.

What you will be doing

You will be using your expertise and knowledge of modern career coaching techniques to accelerate our community members into employment or entrepreneurship. You will do this by:

• Owning and developing our career coaching offering. It’s all yours. GRAB IT.

• Supporting our community members through engaging coaching sessions that:

  • Identify personal goals.

  • Develop soft and leadership skills.

  • Define clear development plans that support our community members in reaching their goals. 

  • Outline an actionable plan for making a strategic career move.

• Finding new employment opportunities for our community members. 

• Helping our community members in their job search and navigating the Finnish job market.

• Following up with our community members regularly to make sure they are on track.

• Reporting on the progress of our community members for data management purposes.

• Building partnerships with companies are community members are well suited for.

• Getting involved in some of our other initiatives.

Interview process

We would like to fill this position ASAP.

• Application period is from 12.02.2021 - 08.03.2021. 

• The first step is a 30 minute phone interview that will take place between: 15.02.2021 - 15.03.2021. 

• The second step is a career coaching assignment that will take place between: 15.02.2021 - 22.03.2021.

• The final step is a 60 minute interview with the COO and CEO of The Shortcut that will take place between: 22.02.2021 - 29.03.2021.
