Would you like to have a great deal of responsibility in building a direct to consumer start-up, be part of setting the overall strategy and executing on it on a mission to re-invent Equestrian fashion? We're looking for a Deputy CEO to join our team in Stockholm. The right candidate will have a great deal of responsibility on shaping ALEQUI as a brand and putting their ideas into action. You will be an important part of setting the strategy as well as executing on it.
Founded by two ex-Googlers, ALEQUI is a data-driven mobile first brand with a mission to modernize equestrian clothing and equipment. ALEQUI is funded by some of the founders behind Apotea AB, one of Swedens most successful e-commerce companies. In the past year we have grown over 400% and gaining strong momentum in the Swedish market. Going forward our ambition is to keep growing in northern Europe as well as Germany/Benelux.
Equestrian sports is one of the fastest growing e-commerce segments in Europe and is mostly occupied by legacy brands with traditional styles that haven’t changed in a long time. ALEQUI aims to challenge existing players with functional clothing, a more modern look and conscious fashion.
Up until recently we were focusing on equestrian equipment only. However, since launching our first line of clothing this summer we noticed an increased demand for this segment and it will be our primary focus going forward.
We are in the middle of a rebranding process aiming to move away from the traditional equestrian look and position ourselves in the intersection between sports and fashion.
We are looking for a well rounded person with a diverse set of skill sets that understands what is means to work at an early stage startup. In short, the job description is not set in stone and entails high level strategic initiatives as well as nitty gritty work that can be mundane.
Being a young company, we need to formalise our mission more clearly, understand our customers better, and figure out who we are as we grow further and find our position in the growing market of equestrian fashion.

Analyze sales data to see how our different categories perform and plan future inventory
Build a brand strategy and execute on it!
Plan and execute marketing campaigns (newsletter marketing, influencer marketing, paid marketing)
Write creative copy with well thought through execution for social media, newsletters and new product categories
Learn to navigate an e-commerce platform (Woocommerce) and manage products, layout, copy

The role description is open and we would like to keep it that way to tailor it to the ever changing needs of an early-stage startup
You have experience of the equestrian world (REQUIRED) - this could mean you have been riding at some point in your life or have been part of equestrian life through family members or similar.
You have previous run your own startup or worked at an early stage startup OR you have a couple of years work experience from either a management consultancy or a brand agency working with strategic initiatives for clients OR you have experience as an Art Director/have been working with developing consumer brands OR more general experience within the e-commerce space.
Attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to multitask.
Ability to work as part of a team but can also work autonomously and take initiatives.
Flexible, hands-on attitude with the ability to cope with evolving business requirements of a growing startup

Your communication skills are excellent and it is easy for you to win over the people you speak to.
Your outstanding analytical skills will help you to structure complex problems quickly and to provide pragmatic solutions
You are not afraid to get “your hands dirty” and understand that being a startup, your work will vary from high level tasks to more basic day to day work.
An advantage but not required if you have:
Knowledge of adobe suite (photoshop, indesign, illustrator)
Knowledge of MS Excel
Experience in photography and retouching images
Experience in woocommerce or wordpress
Experience of video editing
General experience in brand building or e-commerce
Work directly with the CEO to set the strategy and executing on it
Have a direct and visible impact on the growth and revenue of the company
