Here at Savvie, we’re looking for a purpose-driven UX/UI designer who is passionate about food waste and wants to be a part of building an impact-focused product and contributing to sustainability within the food business.


We are a young food tech startup which leverages data and ML to empower the food industry to build more sustainable businesses. We analyze data and translate the most important findings into actionable insights which are easily accessible in our intuitive and user-friendly app. Our goal is to help food businesses everywhere reduce waste while boosting profitability. 


With VC backing from Antler, and support from Simula and Innovation Norway - we’re able to grow our little team of 5 nationalities, and we hope you’re the brilliant UX designer who can help us transform the food industry and prevent thousands of tons of food waste each year.


About us: 

Since incorporating the company in May, we have 17 stores who are actively using Savvie to improve their operations. We have been revenue positive since the summer, and we are looking for a passionate UX designer who can help us build the final product which will be launched in the European market. 


We have a devoted team of advisors around the world including some of the most prominent investors in the Norwegian startup ecosystem - Anne Worsøe and Trond Riiber Knutsen. We’re currently a team of 5 with a passion for food waste and a determination to make an impact. We come from 4 different nationalities, and have expertise from strategy to data science working in a fun and inclusive environment. 


Who you are: 

You are a UX designer who values the importance of humanizing technology and is willing to work closely with our customers to constantly iterate on and improve the Savvie App in order to create a product that truly helps our users throughout their workdays. 


You will own all design decisions related to the app, website, and all of our social media channels. You will have a major say in our future design strategy, and you will also be a core team member and will play an integral role in shaping our company’s culture and ways of working.

As our UX intern you will:

  • Be responsible for the strategy and execution of design and branding

  • Meet with our app users to gather feedback and test new functionality

  • Iterate on the feedback from our users in a structured way by designing wireframes and prototypes 

  • Really understand the user journey of our customers and pin-point ways we can improve our product to deliver more value 

  • Own and curate our social media presence


You’re a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in interaction design

  • A real passion for food waste and sustainability 

  • Are self-driven and are not afraid to voice your opinion

  • Experience working in a fast paced international working environment

  • A desire to go above and beyond to produce the best results

  • The willingness to challenge the status quo and be persistent

  • An open mind, and a ability to learn quickly

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian
