Job Description: Tech Education Lead

• Maintaining and further developing our existing web software products using React, NodeJS, and WordPress depending on the project

• Planning, managing, and executing the development of a database management system using - React, Python, Django, Postgres

• Supervise and lead web development and programming training, workshops, and coding clubs

• Help teach future full-stack developer courses

• This position is a mixture of both remote and in-person as needed

You are:

• Energized and driven by subjects such as talent development, diversity in tech, and The Shortcut’s mission

• Ambitious, willing to grow and seeking opportunities to demonstrate your abilities

• Passionate about the tech industry in general

• Eager and open to learning new things

• Comfortable with the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, and Nodejs.

• Familiar with or eager to learn: Postgres, AWS, and Python, and Django for server-side development 

• Proactive, organized, independent, and willing to develop management and leadership skills

• Able to respond to challenges by generating results, getting feedback, and improving based on that feedback

• General interest in learning, teaching, and mentoring
