Do you want to create technology for the next generation of industry and society? Univrses is now looking for an experienced Senior Deep Learning Engineer to join the team in Stockholm!

Your role

As our new Senior Deep Learning Engineer, you will be part of a research team that designs, implements, optimizes and deploys Deep Learning models that will improve Univrses’ perception technologies for autonomous driving. This role includes a variety of tasks, including:

• Reading Deep Learning code/papers and implementing Deep Learning models and algorithms

• Adapting the models to Univrses’ setting and driving up internal metrics

• Collaborating with other scientists and expert engineers to improve feature performance

• Training Machine Learning and Deep Learning models to perform visual recognition tasks (i.e. segmentation and detection)

• Developing high-end algorithms in one or several of Univrses’ projects

• Optimizing deep neural networks and the associated code to run efficiently on embedded devices

Who you are

• You have published in top tier conferences and journals in computer vision (e.g. CVPR, ECCV, ICCV.)

• You have a PhD in Computer Vision or Machine Learning

• You have strong software engineering skills and you are comfortable with Python, debugging/profiling and version control

• You are comfortable with training and evaluating neural networks in a cluster-based environments and you understand concepts such as CPU/GPU interactions, multi-GPU training, throughput bottlenecks and multithreading

• You have a strong understanding of the underlying fundamentals of Deep Learning (layer details, backpropagation, pros/cons of different network architectures, etc.)

• You have a good ability to read and implement related academic literature and you have experience in applying state of the art Deep Learning models to Computer Vision problems

• You have experience in working with TensorFlow or another major Deep Learning framework

• You have experience with data science tools such as Python scripting, numpy, pandas, matplotlib, jupyter notebooks and docker

Bonus Points

• You are comfortable writing C++ code

• You have a good understanding of GPU architecture

• You have experience with annotation pipelines, data mining or active learning
