Responsibilities

• Study design briefs and determine requirements

• Schedule projects and manage deadlines

• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements

• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas

• Develop illustrations other designs using software or by hand

• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic

• Work with product and marketing team to produce final design

• Edit photo and video collateral to be in a consistent brand tone

• Test graphics across various media

• Amend designs after feedback

• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

• Develop a photography and graphic assets process

Requirements

• Proven graphic designing experience

• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics

• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Photodshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)

• A keen eye for aesthetics and details

• Excellent digital communication skills

• Ability to work independantly, methodically and meet deadlines

• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

• Keen interest in the Development sector and driven to make a global impact

• Willingness to travel to end user locations and capture products in use. Locations likely to be in rural settings in East Africa
