What we are looking for
An exceptionally collaborative, creative, and highly organized interdisciplinary designer to join the team as an Industrial Designer. You will be responsible for various projects in product development of our footwear and apparel collections while working closely with our Creative team, Production team, Operations team as well as our CMO and CEO to create innovative and premium-quality products.
What you will do
Creating conceptual ideas through image boards, sketching, 3D rendering, color, and finish specification
Assisting in developing mockups/samples and planning collections
Be responsible for designing, planning, and documenting a variety of design projects including footwears and apparels from concept through production
Report trends, create mood boards, verbally present product ideas and details with clarity
Communicate and share new insights and best practices to enable potential new design solutions
Communicate all necessary information to the Creative team and Production team to ensure the effective and efficient creation of outstanding products
This position might require some international travel to Factory locations with the Production team member(s) to supervise and collaborate on R&D and Manufacturing activities
What you need
The right candidate has/is:
High fluency in English, no Finnish required
Passion in the footwear and apparel industry
Passion for sustainability and the environment
Strong storytelling and consumer-centered design approach
Ability to create new product concepts through brainstorming, sketching, rendering and mock-ups
Strong verbal and visual communication skills
Familiar with materials, and finishes suitable for retail and packaging
Self-starter with an ambitious spirit, initiative, willing to multi-task resourcefully and work independently
Ability to work under tight timelines and deal with unforeseen situations
Proficient in 2D design, graphics, and Adobe Suite
It's good that you also have:
Bachelor/Master in Industrial Design or equivalent
Professional design experience in footwear and apparel
Experience in 3D computer modeling processes, practices, and techniques
