Vinter is seeking an individual who will be joining the Vinter team and take on the role of a data engineer. The objective is to deliver a state-of-the-art index calculation and data distribution system, serving the needs of the financial and crypto asset community.
The job
You will contribute to the development of a real-time data distribution system.
The most important KPIs are correct index values and calculation speed.
You will design, develop, and implement data infrastructure and pipelines that collect, connect, centralize, and curate data from various internal and external data sources
Expanding our platform’s observability through monitoring, logging, alerting and tracing
You will help people and companies to get access to a better and fairer global economy.

Monitoring: Grafana
Alerting: Grafana, AWS Cloudwatch
Cloud: AWS
Database systems: Postgresql (main datastore), Redis (caching, data processing)
Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04
Protocols: HTTP, HTTP/2 WebSocket
Platforms (packaged in Docker containers): Python, Django, lua (for some Redis scripting)
Requirements
2+ experience with Python and preferably the Django framework.
Experience working in git, docker, and CI/CD development tools.
Experience developing REST and WebSocket APIs.
Meriting
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Experience with AWS services.
Experience with FIX APIs.
