About us

Beanie is building an app-based reward platform with an integrated booking engine. Users will seamlessly be rewarded for everyday purchases, both online and offline, by merchants big and small. It is a type of service that is big in markets like the U.S. but is still in very early stages in Europe (i.e. an opportunity for us!). The company has raised early funding and is now looking to hire its first full-time tech role to start building the platform. Following the initial launch, the person will start building up a tech team to roll out the future products on our roadmap.

About the role

We are looking for a full stack backend developer to kick off the development of the platform, including designing the server-side architecture, building the API server & related services, and integrating third-party services. You should be comfortable with frontend languages needed to build any server-side & admin-related clients. We are looking to build the backend based on Node.js or Golang. Following the release of the MVP, we will move to building the booking engine, the next product on our roadmap, at which point you will start expanding your tech team.

Our user-facing frontend client will be Flutter-based and will be developed by a different person.

Responsibilities & requirements

• Proven 3+ years experience as a full stack backend developer.

• Strong experience in building backend applications with Node.js or Golang.

• Familiarity with common stacks.

• Design & build server-side architecture.

• Design & build any backend/admin clients.

• Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Experience with test-driven development and related frameworks.

• Experience with cloud services and tools.

• Great attention to detail.

• Organisational skills.

• An analytical mind.

Start date: the sooner, the better.

This is a full-time position, based out of our office in Kista, Stockholm. Aside from the general salary, we expect to raise our first institutional round during next year and at that time all employees will receive employee options (ownership shares in the company). In other words, if we build a great company together, you can look forward to an early retirement! :-)

IMPORTANT

This is NOT a remote role. We are looking for someone on location in Stockholm, where we are located. You must also already have a working permit for Sweden.
