Join us at Glint Solar, an Oslo based venture capital funded startup promoting the growth of solar energy, initially through developing decision support tools based on satellite images and machine learning. The beta-version of our first product has been released, and now we are looking for a skilled machine learning engineer to join our team.

As a machine learning engineer, you will be working on our modeling and data infrastructure with a stack that includes Dask, GKE, and GCS, as well as working with the actual data and models. The main language for our backend is Python. One of the main ML tasks is to use image classification to identify and classify different types of lakes. A challenging project, but doable with the right person and team.

We believe the following will help you to succeed:

Eager to learn and help where it is needed, if its core development, getting customer feedback or weighing in on strategy.
Experience thinking about, and working on, the whole data pipeline, from ingest to insight.
Enjoy learning from, and teaching your colleagues.
A good grasp of maths and statistics.
Strong software development skills.
Experience with machine learning and machine learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras or Pytorch
Fluent in English, verbal and written, other languages could be beneficial too
