Mines are dangerous environments with high risk of accidents involving humans. Autonomous systems such as self-driving mining vehicles can significantly improve safety as well as productivity. These systems heavily rely on sensors to interpret the environment and make reliable decisions. Among those sensors, radars are the most robust sensor against harsh environmental conditions.

Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer consultant for a 4-month assignment. In this role, you will contribute to the design of our next generation radar systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-level programming and good knowledge in signal processing algorithms.

Required Skills And Qualifications

You are interested in working with an agile and competitive team. You would also like to learn how to consider the limits of radar technology from both a hardware and software perspective.

• Experience in programming C and Python

• Experience in working with ARM and DSP processors

• Experience in signal processing algorithms

• Experience in embedded Linux

• Relevant experience 4-10 years 

• Good documentation skills

• Strong team player, highly motivated and self initiative

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of hardware

• Experience with FPGA programming

• Experience with embedded Linux (Yocto)
