SwimCam is a Danish hardware startup building a fun and engaging swim practice solution based on our innovative underwater camera. Our ambition is to greatly improve the swimming skills of both competitive swimmers and beginners, and we have joined forces with some of the best swimming coaches in Denmark and the Danish Swimming Association.
We are a part of the largest and most ambitious hardware accelerator program in Denmark - Danish Tech Challenge 2020. As one of our interns you will be an integral part of SwimCams journey throughout the program and your office will be in FutureBox at DTU Campus in Lyngby. Here you will work, share free coffee, Wednesday “chat cake” and other social activities with more than 20 other amazing hardware startups inventing a new tomorrow.
We are looking for a talented Design intern. Your focus will be on developing our physical product. Among other things this involves to come up with new design ideas, to do sketches, to do a lot of 3D design and 3D print of prototypes and of course to talk to customers and to do user testings. You will work in close collaboration with the rest of the team as well as with our customers to develop our underwater camera.
By working at SwimCam you will get a lot of hands-on experience, freedom and responsibility in shaping a real-world solution.
You are probably:
Excellent in designing and 3D modelling
Design student from a danish design school / university
Excited about awesome designs
Interested in design thinking
We hope you can start as soon as possible. Working hours approximately 20 hours a week. You will receive a monetary acknowledgement as intern to support your SU.
About the founders:
Thomas has a phd in computer science, is former IT director, loves tech and to build stuff people really get a value from. Anders is a serial entrepreneur, a sports nerd and former associate professor in sports and psychology. Our ambition is to create a great workplace that nobody wants to leave.
