Job Summary

As part of Data Gumbo’s Services organization, you will work within the Engineering team in a dynamic and innovative environment that is transforming how companies work together in the Oil & Gas sector and other sectors in the future. You will design, develop, and deploy smart contracts into Data Gumbo’s blockchain network. Smart contracts are on track to revolutionize how all agreements work, through an entirely new system of technologically enforced contract guarantees. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain our blockchain infrastructure including smart contracts, data collectors and security

Assist the software engineering team with core product development

Build highly available, scalable applications, services using Node.js, JavaScript, C#

Learn new external and internal technologies as the need/opportunity arises

Contribute to technical conversations and debates, and decide upon approaches and tools to utilize

Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, including engineering (internal and external), product management, executive leadership

Communicate with and support Solution Consulting throughout the smart contract development process from code development through user acceptance testing and deployment

Participating in numerous aspects of developing smart contracts including data collection, data analysis, status updates, and technical documentation

Qualifications:

•BS/BA in Computer Science or related field plus 2 years work experience or MS with 1 years of relevant experience

•Strong customer-first mindset, necessary to build a world-class product

•Experience building enterprise-scale backend services or programs using Node.js, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, SQL Server

•Experience implementing relational database structures and NoSQL databases like MongoDB preferred

•Knowledge of core computer science concepts such as common data structures and algorithms

•Code samples from private GitHub repos, side projects, and open source project contributions is a plus

•Prior working experience in Agile development teams is a plus

•Must be fascinated by, and have knowledge of, what digital transformation and emerging technologies can (and cannot) achieve and the challenges they present

•Positive attitude, open minded, objective, agile and flexible and ability to remain steady under pressure

•Able to work both remotely and independently with high productivity
