Regen Farmer is developing a web-based agroforestry planning and project development platform for farmers, farm managers and agricultural advisors. We are looking for a dedicated developer who is interested in assisting us on a continued basis.
You should
Be passionate about reversing climate change and stopping ecosystem destruction.
Have great skills in web-development. Specifically MongoDB, node.js and express.
Have experience with front-end mapping libraries (leaflet, mapbox)
Have experience with back-end GIS libraries (turf.js, JSTS)
Experience with Python, vue.js and GIS analysis is a plus.
As a remote first company, 90% of our communication is written. So you must be a strong writer. That means you’re able to communicate ideas, arguments and project specifications clearly and concisely.
Tasks
As a full stack developer you’ll work on a large range of tasks, from new features, improving UI to fixing problems on the backend. If you’re comfortable and motivated to work on vertical tasks across the whole stack, with a strength on web-based GIS, this position could be right for you.
This is an incredibly exciting time to join the team. We’re serving our first customers and there’s a lot of work to be done on building features, fixing bugs and designing a tool that is extremely usable for our customers who are working with agroforestry projects to reverse climate change and ecosystem destruction.

Area mapping feature - Users can draw complex property geometries
GIS import feature - Import of existing GIS data such as KML formats onto platform
Layout feature - Agroforestry production system layout visualization (currently in 2D using mapbox)
GIS analysis feature - GIS analysis based on Sentinel 1+2 data and visualization of results for actionable insights on front-end
Overall UI improvements
Setup testing and deploying to production
Fixing bugs
