We at Edventures believe that entrepreneurship is a means of empowerment in a more mobile and fast-moving global economy. We’re looking for you who is as interested as us in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education. As Lead Developer you will be in charge of both strategic and operational responsibilities, in collaboration with our other team members. You will lead the development of our web application, both front and back end, improving our architecture and overall functionality.

You will lead the development of our web application, both front and back end, improving our architecture as well as overall features and functionality. Since this is full stack role, we need you to wear multiple hats and help out wherever needed.

We expect you to be/get highly motivated for this role, with a long-term ambition to stay and grow with us. However, we do understand that bills have to be paid which makes this role a perfect side-project to gradually grow into while having a main occuption. We believe that you are currently studying (computer science, or something equally relevant) or working as a main activity but aiming to grow with this role and eventually transition in to a full-time occupation as we get the funding required when our prototype is finished and we can demonstrate some traction.

We run a remote team of four people with the goal of finalising our prototype by the end of this year. Due to personal health reasons, our current Lead has to leave our team. This role is crucial to finalising the prototype and you’ll have a big mandate on making us reach this deadline. We don’t care that much about extensive experience or a fancy portfolio, but rather that you have a great interest in programming and that you wish to grow within this domain. We will introduce you to our tech stack (node.js, Angular, Golang, Python, RASA, GitLab, TensorFlow, Terraform and Firebase) and our internal channels (Slack and Trello). If you also have a great interest in entrepreneurship (education), sustainability and global issues, that’s a BIG bonus.

• fluent in English, spoken and written

• comfortable with speaking your mind and opinions, while working together with other team members to find solutions

• eager to grow as a full stack developer

• somewhat experienced with full stack development (1-2 years at least)

• somewhat experienced with Node.js, Angular, Python, RASA, MongoDB, Firebase, API and GitLab (and eager to learn more)

• writing clean and structured code

• be motivated and disciplined enough to be working remotely (experience is a bonus)
