Do you want to help us reduce accidents in mines?

Mines are dangerous environments with high risk of accidents involving humans. Autonomous systems such as self-driving mining vehicles can significantly improve safety and the efficiency of an operation. These systems heavily rely on sensors to interpret the environment and make reliable decisions. Among those sensors, radars are the most robust sensor against harsh environmental conditions. A reliable performance of a radar system is obtained by its hardware and software design and implementation.

RF Design Engineer

In this project we are looking for RF design engineers with strong electromagnetic background. The ideal candidate has a solid background in electromagnetic and microwave design using EM simulation tools. The main task is to design different packaging solutions at mm-wave bands. The candidate will design appropriate circuit models based on transmission lines and perform EM simulations to find an optimized solution.

Required Skills And Qualifications

You are interested in working with an agile and competitive team. You would also like to learn how to consider the limits of radar technology from both a hardware and software perspective.

• MSc or PhD in electrical engineering or similar

• Strong electromagnetic background

• Extensive hands-on experience with CST Microwave Office

• Good knowledge in microwave circuit design and transmission lines

• Good documentation skills and experience with Git

• Strong team player, highly motivated and self initiative

• Knowledge of wirebonding in a big plus
