Personal assistant for a serial startup entrepreneur

Panda Training Helsinki Part-timeStudent
Salary Competitive
Hi! My name is Dima, I'm a startup entrepreneur, CEO / advisor at 2 startups, bookworm, longevity/aging research fan, soon-to-be PhD in self-managing organizations (more about me below). I am looking for a personal assistant to outsource a number of tasks that I don't have time to do. This is an attractive opportunity for people who are good at getting sh*t done, looking for a part-time job, want to learn about startup entrepreneurship, and develop themselves.

Get to know me:

  • LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dimasyrotkin/

  • Podcast 1: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0aDxiFwCxt0jgxPtN8v1og

  • Podcast 2: https://youtu.be/f5wPEaMy2n4

  • Don’t be shy to google me, I’ve probably left a lot of traces in the internet :)

I can offer:

  • Learning: I believe you will get a chance to learn a lot about entrepreneurship, business, sales, marketing and get quite some unexpected learnings

  • 20 hours of work per week with minimal Finnish salary

  • I can coach or mentor you (on topics that can be personal too, not necessarily professional)

  • Access to my network of corporate decision-makers, entrepreneurs, etc.

Starting work date:

Ideally around 24.8 for a trial week, and then officially starting in September, not very strict with the dates though.

Required:

  • Fluent English

  • Available 20 hours per week, with a high degree of flexibility but at least 10 hours must fall within 9.00-17.00 Monday-Friday times

  • Able to work in Helsinki at least 10 hours per week, and meet sometimes at my work or home office (Kallio and Kalasatama)

  • Possibility to stick around in the job for at least 1 year

  • Able to get boring work done, efficiently

  • Being organized, conscientious

  • Being responsive in communication

  • Able to learn how to use digital tools quickly (i.e. LinkedHelper, Tilda)

  • Able to research and learn quickly i.e. looking for available startup events online or doing research on how to use content reposting best with different channels

  • Able to give me feedback, especially negative

  • Honesty and integrity

Bonus points for:

  • Fluent Finnish

  • Copywriting skills

  • Cold calling skills or at least lack of fear to develop the skill

  • Design skills

  • Having similar interests and values with me, able to have an interesting conversation

  • Self-awareness and maturity, being reflected about own life, values, dreams, fears, strengths, etc

Examples of tasks you might be doing, the list is not at all exhaustive:

  • Reposting SoMe content on various channels

  • Putting social media content together (design) with the idea provided by me

  • Going through the list of conference participants and sending a copy-paste invite to relevant ones

  • Cold calling

  • Cold emailing

  • Copywriting with the core idea provided by me

  • Research: looking for people, events, companies, information, etc

My current projects which I will probably ask you to support me in:

  • Panda Training - https://panda-training.com/home4

  • GrowthClub - https://www.growthclub.online/?siteRevision=620

  • PhD in self-managing organizations at Aalto University

  • Personal content and articles, i.e. book reviews (see my LinkedIn)

  • A couple of other projects related to hackathons and education are currently brewing.

Application process:

  • The applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, so apply as soon as possible. If this application is open, it means you still have a chance.

  • I added fields for LinkedIn, video, and CV submission, but you be creative and choose what you want to submit. I will probably prioritize applications that have more than just a LinkedIn profile as those will give me more information. I will then screen applications and invite some people for a coffee.

  • I will read every application. I can’t promise to provide feedback, but I will do my best.
