About us

Beanie is a Vinnova-funded aspiring fintech company that sprung out of Founder Institute, one of the world’s leading incubator programs. We are building an app-based commerce service with a payment card and are targeting an $80 billion global industry. The MVP, a simple discount discovery app (to be released in August), is a slimmed-down version of the intended core product (to be released by year end). We are now looking to onboard our first full-stack mobile developer, as a first step in evolving our Flutter & Firebase-based platform from the current MVP to the longer-term fintech product. This person will therefore be a key role in helping us shape our platform.

If you haven’t worked with Flutter before but are a great Android developer, Flutter will come to you naturally and quickly. Have therefore no worries, we can make it work!

We believe strongly in sharing the company’s success with all team members; stock options will therefore be awarded with our first VC round. Feel therefore free to start planning that retirement you want in a few years time!

The team

• Camron M, founder, has during the last 10 years been part of management teams in tech startups with two big exits, most notably a company called Just Eat, now listed on the London Stock Exchange for 75 billion sek. You’ll therefore be in great company!

• Sara M, digital marketing expert, is one of the leading digital marketeers in Europe with experience leading the digital team at one of the largest edtech companies in Silicon Valley.

We currently work with an offshore team for the development of our MVP but, starting with this role, we are moving our development inhouse and building our own team.

Our tech stack

• Mobile app in Flutter (Dart) for iOS & Android

• Backend for MVP running on Firebase

• Back office admin panel written in React

• We will introduce a backend system in Java / Go as we evolve the product

About you

• You have a strong technical education.

• You are a super-star full-stack mobile engineer, with 3+ years experience in Android and Java/Go/Kotlin.

• You adhere to agile and TDD religiously. 

• You have experience leading projects & teams, as you'll be leading our dev effort.

• A bonus if you have Flutter & Firebase experience and/or have built fintech/transactional products before (we will be working with a card-as-a-service solutions provider).
