Family in Music is a service that connects artists and music professionals, offering a variety of tools for distribution, artist development, and even financing. Our mission is to help artists level up their music game to the next level, towards artistic and financial independence - and success.

THE GIG

You are responsible for the web-facing parts of the Family in Music project, and work with your teammates to pick the right technologies and deliver continuously, reporting to the CDO. Additionally, you will work together with a team of developers, designers, and business people to clarify requirements, define the best course of action, and together shape the future of our product. It is also part of your job assignment to commit working code, perform code reviews for peers and help develop the team’s ways of working. Together with the team, you are accountable for building our platform. Keep on reading and challenge yourself in this intriguing role.

THE DEAL

Family in Music is part of the Jiffel Music Group. JMG has over 10 years of history within the music business. Our offices are located in the Aalto Startup Center in Otakaari 5, Otaniemi (Espoo). Our music studios, where a great deal of Finnish and international music has been written and recorded reside in Leppävaara, Espoo. Flexible remote working is supported. X FACTORS

You’re a hands-on developer who is deeply familiar with modern web technologies. This is the stack we're currently working with. Whether you're more inclined to frontend, backend, or fullstack development, we're looking for people who have are comfortable and reasonably experienced with the following:

• React

• NodeJS (used in AWS Lambda)

• Being familiar with AWS DynamoDB and AWS AppSync

• GraphQL concepts

• Elasticsearch

• Terraform as IaaC (and AWS as infrastructure)

• TypeScript

• Auth0 as IAM

• Accustomed to making E2E & unit tests

• Experience with both backend and frontend – one may be stronger than the other

• At least a few years of mid- or senior level experience

SECRET WEAPONS

• Experience in working at agile (scrum) environments

• Music industry experience or understanding

• Experience in working at startups

• Understanding of Business Design and processes
