Visualyst is a newly established company in the Mediatech, Compliance space. Do you ever wonder why it takes movies and TV shows a long time to reach their audiences? One of the reasons is an outdated compliance process used today in the industry to check against local laws, regulations, and policies of the target market. We aim to modernize how broadcasters and streaming services work using machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.

We are looking for a founding member of our development team to join out CTO and build our tool and operations from the ground up. Over time, you will become the head of one of two departments: Data Science or Software Development.

WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE AN IMPACT ON:

• Helping to develop a world-class culture from day one, defining and delivering prototypes and product enhancements over time

• Hire, manage and mentor the best talent needed to develop our solutions

• Identify, compare, selects and implements technology solutions to meet current and future needs. Decide the best way to build on top of these existing tools (as well as others).

• Optimizes infrastructure and tools to suit our finances at every stage

• Test, work with and understand current cognitive AI APIs from Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS and others.  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Team player with experience conceiving and developing cloud-based video workflow solutions. Technical expertise in web systems architecture, design, and development. 

• Min 7 years of proven experience as team lead, architect and/or full-stack software developer.  

• You have full-time engineering experience ideally with our tech-stack: Python, Javascript, .Net or any similar compiled, statically typed language

• Experience in distributed systems and ideally microservices architecture knowledge.    

• Experience with containers & container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) 

• Experience of building systems for model training and serving using, e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch

• Understanding and genuine interest of AI and machine learning methods and algorithms, e.g., neural networks

• An organized and creative mindset that drives him or herself to find innovative solutions to common problems creatively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Self-starter with good time management and problem-solving skills, with an ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

• Last but certainly not least, someone who thrives in the startup scene, understands that we are in it for the long run, and does not easily spook at the first of many problems that we will encounter along the path of world domination.
