We’re a Helsinki-based non-profit foundation with roots deep in gaming, backed Mikko Kodisoja and Ilkka Paananen. Our team battles social exclusion with the help of data and technology by promoting ideas that drive positive change and create a measurable impact among kids and youth in reading, writing, problem-solving and social skills, sense of community and sisu (Finnish for grit).

We're looking for an experienced Lead Game Designer to join our team at the We Foundation. Our ambitious goal is to build great games that make a measurable impact on the lives of millions of children.

As a Lead Game Designer, you will take ownership of developing the We House game, including implementation of it’s core game loop and design, content, iteration and testing. Our current product has a proof of concept which we want to build now to the next phase. You will get a chance to be one of the first members of our core product team and to work closely with our Product Lead and Lead Unity Developer. Part of your role will also be to contribute to building We Foundation long-term product strategy.

Here's What You'll Do:

• Design and develop our Unity based game aimed at children aged 6-12

• Support and contribute in building our long-term product strategy

• Help us find and evaluate new interesting projects that could be built and tested

• Work as integral part of our core product team, while taking high responsibility on an individual level

What we wish to see from candidates:

• Previous professional experience in game design (MMO, RPG)

• Strong expertise using NFC/RFID/BLE technologies

• Passion for creating appealing and engaging gaming experiences that work seamlessly

• Interest for making and playing games (both digital and real-world)

• Familiarity with incremental development is considered a plus
