The position is for a senior full-stack developer who takes responsibility, authors high-quality sustainable code and works well in an agile environment. Our code is based on React or Node.js, with Python and neo4j in the mix.

Our team has all aspects of a startup covered but seeks reinforcements in the development team to add to the expertise around DevOps as well as full-stack development in Node.js, React and Neo4j.
Hands-on design and build the full-stack web application experience
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
Develop prototypes to prove out new technology and validate use-cases
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Create security and data protection settings
Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software
Work with product management and engineering teams to design and build scalable, reliable and highly available solutions
Mentor and help develop architecture and engineering talent
Deep understanding of full-stack application design, including APIs and front-end development (such as React, Angular, HTML/CSS, and other web design components)
Experience in designing, building and deploying large scale cloud platforms (such as Azure and AWS)
Experience in building and maintaining a continuous delivery pipeline
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Great attention to detail
An analytical mind
Preferred: Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
Preferred: Hands-on experience in building microservices
20hrs per week on average
Remote team - mostly living in Helsinki, Finland
At the moment, we cannot be a sponsor of a work permit. If you wish to work in Finland, applicants should hold a work permit valid until (at least) late 2020.
We use English as a working language.
We have a team who seek their daily bread from different sources and their future potential with Hunome.
Naturally, once we have successfully executed the MVP and growth towards our public launch (2020), then we seek funding and will pay salaries.
We come together as a team every six to eight weeks in weekend Playshops in Helsinki (with a remote approach for now) and otherwise use Slack, Trello and more to ensure we all stay informed and aligned.
