What you will do:
Monitor and optimize performance of our Looker instance
Advise our Looker Developers on best practices for LookML coding, data model design, and how to build efficient dashboards.
Be responsible for educating the non-data centric business functions on how to build reusable, reliable reporting.
Document Looker’s connections (within LookML and to various database connections) to ensure the highest level of transparency.
Unifying all naming of fields across all explores, and defining everything within the UI with detailed descriptions
Build and monitor company-wide dashboards to be viewed and used by business stakeholders (which includes leadership, product, marketing, tech, finance etc.)
Strong knowledge of SQL.
Experience in a Business Intelligence platform such as Looker, Tableau or MicroStrategy.
Ability to build business facing dashboards.
Exceptional communication skills in order to liaise with multiple divisions and stakeholders within Slice.
You have a fun and positive approach to your work, and treat others well.
Excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills
Redshift, AWS, Alation, Databricks, Github are all big plus.
