Oyama is a healthcare technology company on a journey to prevent depression. We are creating an evidence-based self-care app with personalized self-care recommendations. As a CTO at Oyama, you will be working with our world-class experts in the field with developing the next global success product in the health & wellness category. We are currently, working intensely on a new mobile app focused on social support, in the midst of a historical period in time, the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a CTO you will be working on the next major update of Oyama together with our highly ambitious, compassionate and transparent team. You will work directly with and have equal say as the founders.
We are currently designing a new pedagogical experience for learning everyday mental health tools to have directly in your pocket. Next, we wish to deliver a native mobile app as soon as possible amid a historical period in time, the COVID-19 pandemic.
We recently got accepted to the Impact StartUp accelerator in Malmö, so you have the opportunity to spend time around the Nordics as part of the program.
Managing the technical team and overlooking the company’s technical architecture
Overlooking the data security of the company’s technical solutions
Working with the product team to break down product ideas into epics, stories and tasks
Working with the product team in an Agile manner to deliver a great product and shifting the right metrics for the business
Building our mobile application using React Native on iOS and Android using industry best practices
Building out our backend services platform, delivering API endpoints for our mobile app to the consumer
Working on our data storage and analytical data platform to provide relevant insights within the product
You may need to work with external partners on outsourcing elements of the platform. Experience here would be highly beneficial
Working on our cloud-based platform, implement CI/CD. Experience with AWS is highly beneficial
3+ years of experience in building React Native apps. We will initially focus on iOS, and it’s okay for you to pick up Android while working with us
Ideally experience in managing engineering teams with the aptitude to pick up either as required
A thorough approach to technical design and execution of large technical projects. Willingness to be hands-on at times and looked up to for technical abilities and experience
Ability to own complex development projects, from gathering requirements to development to collecting feedback and improving
Understanding of the inner workings of the web, common development and UX patterns,
Drive to understand things on a deeper level, always seeking the root cause of the problem and seeking to understand the underlying need in any proposed solution
Fluent in English
