Senior Marketing Executive (Fixed Term Contract)

Seeking an individual with a background in running marketing campaigns to help grow businesses. Experienced in campaign and project management and currently working with recruitment, talent and CSR teams to run successful campaigns, generate leads and creative content to showcase the employer brand and employee experience. IT industry experience or B2C welcomed. It is anticipated the role will be filled for a period of 12 months.

This role owns the marketing strategy and ongoing delivery of marketing plans and campaigns to support our recruitment and ensure our growth can continue. Enabling us to attract the right number, and quality, of new recruits to deliver against our workforce plan – across all our specialist capabilities and locations, from experienced hires to entry level via marketing of Kainos Academy (including Earn as you Learn, CodeCamp and AICamp).

Through ongoing partnership with our People Team, and leading a small dedicated marketing team, the role encompasses all elements of marketing and communications – including digital and social media campaigns (and in time, marketing automation and nurturing), PR, external/Kainos events and meet-ups, and ongoing evaluation.


Main responsibilities:


Recruitment marketing

Create, own and implement the annual recruitment marketing plan, ensuring coverage across key capabilities and locations, and devise and manage ad-hoc campaigns and activities in order to boost and meet applicant numbers.


Kainos Academy / CSR

Own and deliver the marketing plan for Kainos Academy (as part of the wider Recruitment Marketing Plan) including Earn-as-you-learn, CodeCamp and AICamp. Work with brands and comms marketers on strategy for Kainos Academy, deliver integrated marketing campaigns and create and distribute compelling Academy content.


Campaigns and activities

Day-to-day delivery and management of multiple campaigns, employing a full marcomms approach including social media and digital marketing, content marketing, video and print collateral creation and promotion, news/PR, own events and webinars, external exhibitions and conferences, etc.


Team & budget management

Daily management of recruitment marketing team, coaching and developing team members and supporting the team to deliver on campaigns and objectives. Work with the Head of Marketing to devise annual plans and budget, and own and manage the recruitment marketing budget.


Minimum (essential) requirements:

  • Relevant marketing (e.g. CIM) qualification or studying towards

  • Strong project management skills and organisational skills

  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Good knowledge of social media marketing (paid and organic)

  • PR understanding and ability to write press releases and liaise with key media

  • Event management and project management.


Desirable:

  • Paid search and digital advertising experience desirable

  • Understanding of marketing automation and ability to see the potential for its application in this space.

  • Confidence and conviction in own experience to ensure key decisions are made that ensure the right outcome

  • Collaborative and mentoring approach to leading, developing and up-skilling the team

  • Analytical in approach, to continuously track ongoing results and course-correct as needed, and evaluate campaign effectiveness

  • Highly articulate and comfortable leading internal sessions or delivering presentations to colleagues and partners.
