Soundsensing is an IoT sensor and Machine Learning company based in Oslo, Norway. Our mission is to use sound as data source to help solve challenges in construction, manufacturing, offices and cities. Applications and current pilot customers include The Department of Justice, Property management companies (predictive maintenance), Oslo Kommune, etc.

We do this by combining our custom developed sound-sensor hardware with data processing and Machine Learning (both on-sensor and in the cloud). The extracted information is then presented in a web-based application, and made available in an API.

The position

The position is initially part-time, or billed per hour. We are flexible in combining this with other work or studies.

Must have

• Experience with firmware development in C/C++

• Experience with the STM32 platform

The following is considered a strong plus

• Prior experience with IoT device development

• Prior experience with cellular modems

• Knowledge about audio and digital signal processing

• Interested in machine learning

• Interested in quality assurance and automated testing

Possible tasks right away include:

• Implementing Firmware Over the Air (FOTA)

• HW bringup and porting firmware to next generation sensor hardware

• Driver development for Cellular modem
