We are looking for an experienced technical team leader to manage our team and provide effective guidance. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis.
As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.
As a technical expert, you will ideally be an experienced web developer, with at least eight year’s relevant industrial experience.

Job Purpose:
The technical team leader works with the team at Sentireal to a establish a technical vision and turn it into reality, ensuring the quality of Sentireal’s products and services. The technical team leader will manage the overall operation of Sentireal’s technical team and carry out development of web services and web applications (full-stack web development).

Specific team leadership duties include:
Creation of an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
Daily management and motivation of the development team
Establishment of clear team goals, delegation of tasks and setting deadlines
Monitoring team performance and reporting on metrics
Conducting appraisals to discover training needs and provide coaching
Recognition of high performance and rewarding accomplishments

Provision of feedback to senior management team and Board Members

Specific technical duties include:
To write well designed, testable, efficient web service and web application code using best software development practices
Testing, verifying, deploying and maintaining web service and web application software
Full-stack web development using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Angular and React
Creation of REST Application Programming Interfaces that can be consumed by front-end web applications and mobile applications
Integration of data from various back-end services and databases such as MySQL and MongoDB
Leading software development projects using agile methodologies such as Scrum
Gathering and refining specifications and requirements based on technical needs
Creation and maintenance of software documentation
To be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our web applications
To remain up to date on emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
Cooperation and collaboration with technical team to ensure cohesion in product development
Reporting to senior management
Demonstrating Sentireal’s software products to existing and potential customers both on and off the premises
Undertaking any other reasonable duties requested or delegated by Line Managers

Educational Qualifications – essential:
Achieved a 2:1 or above in any of the following degree disciplines:
Computer Science
Software Engineering
Electronics
Educational Qualifications – desirable:
Masters Degree or above in a related discipline
Qualification in Management or leadership
Experience – essential:
Completed a minimum of 5 years’ experience in industry in a software environment.
Practical experience in:
Web development
In-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
Languages and frameworks such as Java, .NET, Javascript, Spring Boot, Angular, React
A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
Adequate knowledge of database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
Proven work experience in team leadership
Experience – desirable:
Demonstrate experience in leading and participating in agile software development projects, using methodologies such as Scrum
