The role

The "Backend Developer Trainee" opening is meant for a candidate with the potential to become a first-employee in the upcoming months. How exciting is that ;) Besides the technical responsibilities, you will be closely involved with the founder's team to help drive the business to the next level. So, if you are interested in applying your technical skills + gaining business management exposure, this role is right up your alley.

You will be responsible for developing, testing, and debugging responsive web and mobile applications. The role will require you to translate user and business needs into functional backend product. You will be closely involved with users and clients to gain first-hand exposure to their feedback.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use

• Translate user and business needs into functional backend code

• Actively involved in business matters (clients, partners, users)

Qualifications

• Experience with: Spring boot, Java 8+, Maven, Hibernate, Unix, SQL

• Preferred experience with DevOps

• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging

• Business acumen
