Are you our next rising star? We are looking for a most promising front-end developer intern. During your internship you’ll be joining a small but very competent tech team with huge ambitions. We don’t expect you to have all skills from start, but that you are a quick learner. Some experience with React is a requirement. Your work will be seen and used by thousands and it's a great chance of making your mark with your own ideas and make an impact that lasts!

What have we accomplished until now?

1. Launched the Skillbreak platform with more than 2000 paying customers and over 200 professional experts providing activities.

2. Built our 5.0 version of product, making it easy for professionals to publish new activities and for users to book and review their experiences. 

3. Optimized the service for SEO and an enhanced discovery experience with categories and filtering features. 

We are currently working towards scaling and growing our platform. We have built our product with a Rails backend, React frontend and Postgres database. 

What’s our challenge now? 

• Increase conversion. We have a solid basic platform converting around 3% of our visitors to bookings. Taking the next step we need to iterate on the best ways increasing the conversion rate and attracting new users. We also believe in building referral/social mechanisms and some form of gamification.

• An enhanced discovery experience.  We need to dramatically improve the ux to help users find what they’re looking for. We also believe that we need to build an intelligent engine for recommendations and automate more of the marketing.

• Building the best product for our workshop professionals. We aspire to build the best technical platform for workshops in Europe, 2023 we should be the leading player, also in competition with event/ticketing platforms.

Requirements:

• We don’t expect you to have all skills from start, but that you are a quick learner. 

• Experience with React as this is our primary front end language.

• Know your way around web languages like CSS, HTML and Javascript

• Experience with backend (Rails) is a plus

• Experience with version control systems like Git
