We need an IT expert who can help with IT infrastructure in our small organization - the core task is to make sure that the laptops we get donated from IT companies are fully functional for our approx. 50 students.
10-15 hours/week - sometimes evenings and weekends

Monthly salary: 6000 kr. now - possible it will increase in the near future.
Location: Our office in København NV. + course locations in Copenhagen

About ReDI School
ReDI School is a non-profit organization that uses tech to connect human potential and opportunity with dignity and humility. We offer courses in tech and soft skills, and provide our students with a great network within the tech industry and create new social and professional opportunities.
ReDI School started in Germany in 2015 and are now teaching and empowering more than 1000 students each year in a variety of tech courses on different levels. In the Women Program in Copenhagen we run courses for women with ethnic minority background or limited access to education and network. We just finished our 6 week pilot program and our first 3-month courses will start February 1st 2020.

About the opportunity

As the IT Support of ReDI School you will be part of a small team in Copenhagen, with the scope to introduce your ideas and perspectives on creating digital literacy and getting more women in tech. As part of your job you will be working with some of the most recognised tech companies in the world.
It is important to note, that we just started in Copenhagen in June 2019 which means that systems, structures and culture are still developing - this also means, however, that you have a great opportunity to affect the development of the organization.
About the role
The IT Support will work closely together with the Local Head of ReDI School, the Program Assistants and Volunteer Coordinator to build up a great community to empower women in Copenhagen, and will be responsible for all IT related issues.
Note that working hours will vary - there will be more work in the preparation phase of each semester and less during semesters.
This role will provide end-user support to students, teachers and ReDI Staff, equip students with laptops and software, maintain network infrastructure and implementing new software solutions.
1. IT support
Technical troubleshooter for all IT hardware and software problems
Supports students, teachers and colleagues with any IT related issues or questions
Onsite presence during the initial classes each semester to resolve issues quickly
Identify and implement changes to reduce the number of new issues
Provide support remotely via phone, email and chat
Create documentation and ensure information distribution about common issues
Assist with IT aspects of employee onboarding/offboarding
2. Hardware maintenance
Develops overall strategy to gather laptops and other hardware
Onboarding of hardware donations
Troubleshoots and fixes hardware issues
Plans and implements hardware upgrades
3. Software deployment
Maintain and extend the disk image deployment infrastructure
Setup operating systems and applications as required for the courses
Integrate drivers for different laptop models
Capture and deploy disk images to large quantities of laptops
Coordinates with colleagues and teachers regarding software requirements
4. Network maintenance
Works with ISPs to ensure quality and availability of internet connectivity
Troubleshoots wired and wireless networking issues
Implements secure connectivity between different sites
Maintains the internet gateway
5. Software solution implementation
Selects and evaluates software solutions to support business processes
End-to-end project ownership from initial idea to solution delivery
Maintains and consolidates existing software solutions
6. Asset tracking
Implement database based asset tracking system
Onboard all relevant IT assets
Develop standard operating procedures for tracking IT equipment lent to students
Automate process for sending return reminders
ABOUT YOU
Essential
Speaks and writes Dansh & English

Interest in and experience with IT infrastructure and hardware
Administration of Linux based systems
Experience with configuring firewalls and network services such as
DHCP and TFTP for PXE booting on Linux
Solid understanding of general IP networking (IPv4) concepts.
Solid understanding of subnet addressing, private vs. public IP spaces, IP routing, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, TCP/UDP
Knows how to set up, patch and maintain Windows (desktop)
Hardware troubleshooting experience
Experience in customizing PC Booting: BIOS/UEFI, PXE, GRUB/Clover EFI
Ability to deep dive into Linux and Windows issues
Desirable
Windows scripting (Powershell, VBScript, CMD)
Experience with configuring VPN technologies, RADIUS
Knowledge of wired and wireless ethernet networking: Copper and fiber connectivity, PoE, VLANs
Experience with maintaining and extending relational database based applications (e.g. based Microsoft Access or Salesforce)
