DAIN Studios’ mission is to help its’ customers make their companies data-driven and leverage internal and external consumer, product, and financial data to increase sales, streamline and optimize operations, and create new growth. DAIN Studios is a digital and analytics consultancy that started operations in March 2016 in Finland and Germany. We are currently serving several well-known customers in Finland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

We are looking for a motivated and delivery-focused Data Engineer who can work in rapidly changing industries and a high degree of autonomy. We offer an opportunity to work with international clients, further grow as a data engineer, and build up a strong analytics company.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and build a robust data and analytics infrastructure which expose data via relevant interfaces to clients and other teams

• Work with senior team members to deploy and test applications at scale

• Work with cross-functional business, analytics, and IT teams to deliver simple, secure and multi-faceted use cases

• Construct reliable and fault tolerant data pipeline workflows

• Use best practices in continuous integration and delivery

Requirements

Must have

• 2+ years of professional data or backend engineering experience in building reliable and scalable data platforms

• A solid understanding of data modelling, access and storage

• Strong knowledge of at least one server side programming language in a data related context (like Python, Java, Scala)

• Ability to analyze infrastructure performance metrics and develop monitoring systems on top

• Ability and desire to learn and adapt quickly

• Fluent written and spoken English skills

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud data architectures and basic DevOps knowledge would be a plus

• Client-facing experience helpful

• German and/or Finnish language skills are a plus
