Are you a bit mad, very driven, and excited about building new things? Look no further! The Shortcut is seeking a Community Manager to join our team! The Shortcut is a talent accelerator, helping people to enter the tech world by either creating a startup or joining one. We're a community-driven non-profit part of Startup Foundation, alongside eg. Slush and Maria01. We support our community through events, workshops and training to develop skills needed in startups and high growth companies.

The general scope of your responsibility will consist of:

• ONLINE: Under our CMO’s leadership, enhance and foster a community

  • Support our social media activation efforts, grow our audience and followers, engage influencers, and target our messages

  • Engage with our social media community (create content, write blogs, discussion groups, videos, etc.)

  • Engage our community by developing and maintaining The Shortcut Community platform

• OFFLINE: Under our Product Officers’ leadership, be responsible for The Shortcut community activities

  • Grow our audience through roadshows and represent The Shortcut in fairs, conferences and ecosystem events

  • Create a solid network of companies and individuals who wish to give back and engage them in what we do

  • Create synergies with our sister organisations, other startup ecosystem players, and targeted organisations that can support our work

  • Understand and prioritize community needs and turn them into actionable events and activities

  • Coordinate a team of interns to run community-driven activities (social nights, networking events, potlucks and parties)

• Lab Management

  • Coordinate the Lab and make it an enjoyable experience for visitors/members

  • Be the interface for Maria01 operations, oversees the interior design efforts and other renovations

  • Build processes for the well functioning of the Lab at any time

• An outgoing personality, who knows how to engage and make people feel like they belong - whether you speak to Bill Gates or The Mayor of Helsinki, you won’t lose your cool!

• You know how to work in a lean way, yet you are structured and organized, with a method to your madness

• On top of your game, know the latest trends in SoMe and how to activate your audience

• Able to scale and enhance processes and you master the art of multitasking

• Able to respond to challenges by generating results, getting feedback, and improving based on that feedback
