Job Description

You get a unique opportunity to build the purchasing and logistics function nearly from scratch. The company is transitioning from being an entrepreneurial development company, where employees often have many different tasks, also outside their primary field of competence, to becoming a more functionally divided company, where the individual's area of ​​responsibility becomes more specialized according to the job function.


As the person responsible for purchasing and logistics, you are expected to be the specialist in your field, but of course you will work closely with your colleagues, both in the start-up phase and in the long term.


You refer to, and will work closely with, the CTO, who has so far been responsible for establishing various management tools in the procurement and logistics function.


Your task will be to continue this work, which is why one of your first focus areas will be to select and implement an ERP system. This is a big task, which is critical to the company’s future and will of course take up a lot of your time. You will be very hands-on and responsible for most of the work yourself, of course in close cooperation with the system supplier.


You are expected to quickly gain a good insight into existing working methods, and you will soon be looking at optimization opportunities both in relation to existing and new working methods, but also in relation to cooperation and price agreements with subcontractors in Denmark and abroad.

You ensure that the suppliers comply with the agreed quality standards and are also responsible for making the best use of the purchasing function in the company's ERP system.


In addition to managing the ERP system implementation, you will be involved in key logistics and procurement tasks;

- Purchasing for development and production / assembly

- General logistics tasks

- Supplier contact, - including registration, evaluation and negotiation of price agreements and other terms

- Customer returns / RMA

- Follow-up on deliveries

- Inventory optimization, input control, inventory control and inventory

- Maintenance of master data, shopping directory

- Continuous monitoring and updating of price agreements

- Prime driver of optimizing the procurement function and inventory control etc.


You will play a central role as a link between the various departments - development, warehousing, and assembly, which you continuously collaborate with on quality-enhancing initiatives in relation to various standards that the company is subject to.


You get a broad interface both internally within the organization and externally for suppliers and shipping companies. In addition, you will naturally be involved in inventory counts, preparation of various internal analyzes, reporting systems and statistics.


You should expect the position to contain 10-20 travel days per year.


Qualifications

You are a flexible and outgoing person who has flair for numbers and technique. You are hands-on, practically oriented and quick to familiarize yourself with new, and therefore you can also see contexts in complex cases.


At the same time, you are pro-active and are happy to take responsibility and ownership for your own tasks. You are carefully laid out, work structured and therefore have control over your things.

A self-motivated person who is also a good team player would be preferable.

Knowledge of regulatory standards that medical companies are subject to is an advantage, but not a requirement.


Education

You have an educational background within purchasing, logistics, supply chain management, engineering or similar relevant fields.


Work Experience

You have experience from a similar position, managing purchasing and/or logistics in a technology company, preferably within medical devices. You are used to working with numbers, statistics and forecasts.


Language / IT

You are fluent in English and/or Danish, both orally and in writing.
