To realize this vision, we are looking for a passionate senior Backend Engineer who wants to embark on this exciting journey. 

What you will be doing at SWITCHR

As SWITCHRs senior backend developer, you will work closely together with the tech team. You will be in full charge of the backend side of the SWITCHR investment platform, from maintenance to continuous development. As an instrumental part of the SWITCHR team, you will also participate in meetings with stakeholders where your technical expertise will bring clarity to the big picture.

But that’s not all. You’ll also join an insanely driven solar power family who believes in hard work for a greater cause. We also believe hard work has to be balanced with humor and play. At SWITCHR, we support each other and make sure the sun keeps shining through times of challenge and times of success. 

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field
• 5+ years of backend work experience 

Required skills

• Fluency in one or more server-side languages such as Java, Python or PHP
• Experience in developing highly scalable APIs and infrastructure 
• Great knowledge in working with databases
• PostgreSQL experience 
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Docker or Kubernetes (or similar)
• Strong team player spirit and leadership skills

Bonus skills

• 1+ years of backend experience within the fintech field
• Knowledge in working with Go/Golang
• Google Cloud experience
• Basic knowledge in HTML5 and CSS
• Understanding of some React JS concepts
