PocketLaw was founded in 2018 with the goal of disrupting the legal industry by offering small and mid-sized companies a modern, digital and more cost-efficient alternative to legal support. In other words, PocketLaw wants to make legal simple. What we are looking for:

PocketLaw is looking for a Head of Legal that is as excited as us about disrupting and transforming the legal industry by empowering companies with a digital, modern and more cost-efficient alternative to legal support.

Our Head of Legal will be at the heart of the company - setting the vision and direction of the legal product as well as building a legal team that will be developing all the legal content of the platform. It is important that this person is a visionary who thinks outside the box, as well as an experienced, detail-oriented business lawyer who knows legal inside out.

What you will do: 

• Define the vision and overall strategy of the legal part of the product - both on what topics and areas within business law that should be offered in the platform, how these should be prioritised, and what the most efficient ways are to develop and maintain all the content
• Build and lead our team of legal experts - in-house as well as consultants - and plan for future resources needed to secure continued growth
• Be at the heart of the company - work closely with both our Business team as well as our Product team to make sure the legal content is integrated and presented in the best possible way
• Make sure PocketLaw is at the forefront and leading the transformation of the industry - continuously engage and take a lead within the wider legal tech and startup community

Who you are:

• Have a Swedish Law Degree, LL.M.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience - either at a reputable law firm or as an in-house legal counsel at a larger company 
• Sit on extensive knowledge in corporate and commercial legal matters and multi-jurisdictional law, with wide experience of drafting contracts and legal documents
• Have experience of and / or a genuine interest in legal tech as well as new trends and developments in the legal industry
• Be completely independent and self-sufficient in leading your own projects, as well as a team player with little prestige, providing support wherever is needed
• Be fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing

What would make you stand out:

• Have experience from both an established law firm / law dep. at a larger company, as well as a start-up / growth company
• Know corporate and commercial law of other Nordic countries (e.g. Norway and Denmark)
