Making an immediate impact:

- Work in a scrum team comprised of typically 5 to 6 developers

- Participate in daily standup meetings and all meetings of the agile SLC: planning, estimation, retrospectives, demos, etc

- Designing and executing test plans and test cases for user stories, using manual and automated testing techniques, and identifying defects

- Collaborate with the QA automation team to build further regression frameworks and test coverage

- Maintaining test environments

- Coming up with creative ideas on how to ensure the quality of the product

Needed SpotX’er talents:

- 3+ years software testing experience, which may include UI/UX and API testing

- Coding background in one of the following programming languages: PHP, Java, .NET, Python, Javascript, etc

- Worked with Relational databases / SQL

- Comfortable at a shell prompt (e.g., Unix/linux experience)

- Smart, with technical abilities that enable you to learn fast

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- A proactive attitude and a love for making software better!

Bonus SpotX’er talents:

- Exposure to the video ad serving space

- Mentoring more junior colleagues to improve process and product

- ISTQB certification(s)

- Previous experience with test automation frameworks, e.g. Jasmine

- Selenium and other open source testing tools experience

- SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, HTML, CSS

- Web-scale environments knowledge

- Understanding of source control (Subversion, GIT, etc)

- Developing personal projects, or contributing to open source projects
