Analytics Engines is looking for motivated, adaptable software engineers. The job will involve creating data solutions for customers and developing the company’s XDP platform. The successful applicant must be able to independently research and solve problems. Grade and salary dependent on experience.

Responsibilities (all grades):

- Designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces, applications, and documentation

- Research and implementing existing analytics algorithms or developing new ones to solve customer problems

- Managing and integrating customer and third-party data from variety of sources

- Working with colleagues to design new systems, develop existing technology, or test theoretical designs

- Writing specifications and technical reports and determining operational feasibility

- Writing well designed, testable, efficient code and integrating software components into a fully functional system

- Following defined development processes and complying with project plans and industry standards

- Keeping up to date with developments in technologies and regulations

Responsibilities (higher grades):

- Delivery of data analytics solutions and managing delivery of product roadmaps

- Working with clients to determine requirements, understand their data, create specifications and architectures, understand usage, and run acceptance testing

Key criteria (applicants must satisfy at least two of the following):

- Bachelor or Master’s degree at 2.1 or above (or equivalent), preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

- Strong knowledge of programming

- Strong knowledge of data modelling, processing or analytics

- Experience developing in Python, Angular or JavaScript

- Experience of UX/UI design

Desirable criteria:

- Demonstrable data analytic project management experience

- PhD in applicable field or evidence of strong independent learning

- Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2)

- Experience in SQL, BI Software, or statistical packages

- Demonstrable experience in developing data analytics dashboards or reports

- Understanding and experience of database design and operation

- Expertise in software development methodologies

- Demonstrable experience in developing data analytics dashboard and reporting applications

- Working knowledge of mobile application development methodologies and toolchains

- Familiarity with application testing frameworks

- Experience with cloud or on-premises IT infrastructures/architectures

- Data modelling and analytics experience in R or Python

- Experience with GNU/Linux ecosystem

- Experience of back-end application server design/implementation

- Experience of Big Data tools and ecosystems
