The maths curriculum writer will play an important role in designing interactive content and instructional animation videos. The position requires knowledge and experience in primary mathematics teaching, creative flair and an ability to expressing ideas in writing and interactive formats. The position involves creating written content such as blog articles to support our marketing campaigns. As we’re a startup company you’ll be involved in many aspects of the business. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves-and-do-it job, so you’ll be on the front line of enhancing our service and growing our company.


The role includes:

  • Reviewing the existing curriculum, identifying areas for improvement
  • Creating new interactive maths learning content from idea to release
  • Storyboarding animated instructional videos to explain maths concepts to primary aged children
  • Articulating designs to the development team
  • Creating compelling maths curriculum marketing content such as blog articles in conjunction with the marketing team
  • Customer support - reviewing learning plans and responding to enquiries
  • Research and analyse curriculum requirements (UK and International)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills, along with the ability to empathise and engage with our target customers.
  • Qualified teacher (primary or secondary maths)
  • Experience producing mathematics educational materials
  • Experience teaching mathematics, ideally at primary level
  • A balance of creative, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to tackle new situations and challenges with ingenuity and independence
  • In depth knowledge of the UK primary maths curriculum
  • Be tech savvy - know how to use a variety of online software tools such as excel, google docs, twitter
  • Be great at maths and enjoy it!

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in Edtech
  • Appreciation of user experience in a digital Edtech context
  • Awareness of how efficacy is measured in education
  • Knowledge of International maths curricula (USA, Australia)
  • Skill in data analysis, programming or database SQL
  • An entrepreneurial and creative mindset - who can contribute across our business
