VEPAK make automated firewood packing machines that produce neatly packed bags of firewood 5 times faster than by hand. Our product development team is located in Trondheim while our daily operations are run from Oslo, but we strongly value individual freedom to work from alternate locations and alternate hours, and we all enjoy a bit of travelling as we are all in our mid 20s to young 30s.

We are looking for a brilliant production manager:

The production of our machines involves 20+ partners in 5 countries, where we have main communication with 1-4 retailers, production supervisors, CEOs, company owners and floor managers in each party (est. 50 contacts in total).

Our previous series of machines have been 10 machines per series, finished upå and left the factory 1-3 machines at the time.

Your main role will be to supervise the production:

• Project management from machine offer is sent until machine is installed at client
• Analysis and optimization of the production from A to Å (“Å” is the final letter in the Norwegian alphabet!) 
• Life cycle analysis of wear and tear on components and full assemblies
• Inventory control
• Production documentation – Quality and revision control
• Sub-assembly and full assembly quality control before leaving factory
• Logistics planning (Intra EU supply, EU ⇄ Non-EU)

On-site presence and problem-solving dialogue with our partners on a regular basis.

Trondheim-office house our automation and mech. design team. Partners in production and machines/clients currently in 15 countries and growing.

VEPAK AS make packing machines for firewood in small bags and carton boxes. With one operator, the machine pack 5 times faster than the manual method. This allows the firewood producer to reduce the time and labour cost in the packing with 80%. There is currently no alternative available to substitute manual packing other than VEPAK.

24 VEPAK-machines have been delivered to industrial firewood producers and hobby producers in 10 European countries since the end of 2015. 17 out of the 24 machines have been sold and installed in the last 12 months (growth stage initiated).

Every machine is connected to the internet via integrated modem with sim-card which lets us monitor the production, update the software, troubleshoot remotely and so on. It’s a win-win for both our users and us to have access to these data in order to further optimize the stability and efficiency of the machine.
