Bownty helps consumers get the most out of their city by collecting and curating the best discounted experiences from hundreds of partner sites. We’re like a Momondo, but for cool things to do. You’ll be part of an ambitious startup that is climbing to new heights every day.

We’re looking for a .Net developer with a flair for devops who will be coding everything from our WebApi to our batch jobs serving our user-facing clients and data handling needs. You have a solution-based approach to requirements and have a goto-attitude towards simplicity, rather than opting for the end-all, be-all solution, all while taking pride in maintainability and separation of concerns.

• Current new stack: MariaDB, docker, docker swarm orchestration, drone CI, .Net Core WebApi/C# console apps. 
• Current legacy stack: Nomad, Consul, Cassandra, Vault, MariaDb, PHP(CakePHP), docker, puppet 

A week at the office could include: 

• Search & development of new technologies that could benefit Bownty.
• Implement new applications, micro- to medium-services.
• Re-writing existing code to suit new business logics
• Refactoring that dirty hack you made last week - and adding tests to it.
• Optimization and maintenance of our current stack. 
  
• Figuring out how to do an efficient SQL query against one of those 500.000.000+ row tables.
• Talking to business stakeholders to ensure their new feature request is going to work optimally once in production.
• Cracking out awesome code uninterrupted when needed, with your headphones on
• Participating in daily stand-up meetings when it makes sense.

You need to be proficient at: 

• C#/WebApi
• Docker
• GIT (flow)
• Linux (Ubuntu/Debian)
• MySQL or it’s variants (Percona/MariaDB)

It's a plus if you're familiar with:

• Experience with the .Net Core 2.0 ecosystem
• Docker orchestration (Swarm, Kubernetes) and the docker-compose format
• Lucene based search engines (ElasticSearch, SOLR and the likes)
• Message Brokers (RabbitMQ and the likes)
