At Jamii Pay we are building a blockchain based transactions, savings and loans service for the 1 billion people in the world who do not have identification and 1.7 billion who do not have access to bank. This will allow the very poorest people of the world to survive through tough periods and build a better future for themselves and their families.  

We have been selected for the Incubator Programme at the Copenhagen Fintechlab starting 3 September 2018 and are in the process of getting funding for our MVP. Our team has a very strong network within the startup, blockchain, investor spaces as well as strong competencies in business development and management, and a deep insight into and access to our target end-users/customers primarily in African countries.

We offer you an internship and possibly a subsequent job. You will sit at the Copenhagen Fintechlab, have top level legal advisors at your disposal, learn from being part of an incubation programme and get an extensive network in the fintech startup sphere.

Your responsibilities

• Get into depth and advise team on AML
• Get into depth and advise team on Danish and international law concerning fintech
• Engage with political and legal institutions
• Develop company policies and guidelines

Your qualifications

• You are or have been a law student
• Interest in international business development
• Interest in AML and anti-corruption
• Interested in GDPR
• Interested in developing countries
• Interest in making a difference
