Slush 100 winner in 2017, Altum Technologies is the first and only company in the world to use focused power ultrasound to remove fouling from industrial equipment with no need for production stoppages and equipment disassembly. The cleaning is done by externally applying our device to any liquid-carrying equipment (heat exchangers, pipes, tanks, cooling towers, filters, reactors, etc.) without the need to do any changes to them or the production process.


We combine traditional ultrasonic techniques and proprietary software with IoT and AI capabilities to create a one-of-a-kind cleantech. We are a 16-person team who has come a long way in the last few months, we released our first product to the market AltumPI in June 2017, won the prestigious Slush 100 pitching competition in December 2017 and in February 2018 we released our Mark III system. Altum Technologies was founded in Helsinki in 2016 and is backed by Venture Capital.


Why we need you

Because of this, we are now rapidly expanding to other markets beyond the Nordics and this is where we need to build a successful sales team that can carry on with current cases, follow up with leads that our marketing has gathered and create new leads by own initiative. Now is your opportunity to get on board of one of Finland's hottest startups. 

We are hiring account executives to ramp up our sales. We want team players that can perform individually as well, and if needed, who are ready to roll up their sleeves and help our engineering team to do respective lab or site tests for the case the account executive is dealing with. We are a startup doing something that no one has done before. So, we need people with initiative as there will be many tasks in which no instruction manual exists yet.

The Role

International Account Executive | Full-Time | Helsinki, Finland

An Account Executive (AE) is responsible for coordinating with our management team in building the presence of Altum Technologies in our target industries and markets, but most importantly getting those important international deals across the closed won line and solve a client's fouling issues forever.  

Customers include mainly industrial companies and industrial equipment manufacturers. Currently our focus is in Europe and North America. However, depending on the case you may be assigned leads from other parts of the World.  

The Account Executives will be based in our headquarters in Helsinki. 


Responsibilities

An AE must take full ownership of the following: 

- Act as an AE for Altum Technologies' customer accounts in assigned market(s) and/or industry vertical(s). 

- Keep deals, cases and conversations up to date on a daily basis in our CRM software.

- Develop a clear understanding of territory activity and end-customer needs. Effectively communicate and document this information to Altum Technologies' team. 

- Secure a solid business development agenda for the assigned customers. 

- Participate in the formulation and implementation of new business development strategies. 

- Build long-term collaborative relationships with key personnel and principals at client companies. 

- Develop effective marketing and sales programs in coordination with the Marketing Director to maximize creation of new business opportunities.

- Perform other duties as assigned by Altum's management from time to time.

- Collaborate with our engineering team in doing pre-studies and projects for the sales cases you are in charge of. 

- Willingness to participate in fairs and trade shows to promote Altum's offerings, gather leads and to solicit for potential partners.

- Ensure high quality deliverables, responsiveness and professionalism.


What we'd like from you 

- Commercial degree with industrial/technical understanding or industrial/technical degree with in-depth commercial understanding. Or if you feel that you are born to do sales we want to hear from you. 

- Demonstrate highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Fluent in English (both oral and in writing), other languages are an advantage. Our official company language is English.

- Minimum 1 years of experience in B2B sales with own territory and accounts selling to large and medium-sized companies. 

- Proven track record of sales achievements.

- Used to CRM software workflow, knowledge of HubSpot CRM is an advantage.

- Familiarity with industrial production and processes, specific knowledge in at least one of our target industries is an advantage.

- A high level of self-confidence and the ability to make decisions.

- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet the deadlines.

- Prepared to travel in Finland and internationally.

- Client skills including building and managing relationships, negotiation skills and understanding of customer needs and market requirements.

- Capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks and working in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills.

- Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), CRM and IT in general.

- Valid driver’s license.

- Based in Finland and able to come to Helsinki for a face-to-face interview.
