Copenhagen tech startup looking for a talented Sourcing/Business Analyst

M-PAYG is a Danish venture backed startup with a strategy to radically improve access to renewable energy for people living below the poverty line in developing countries.

M-PAYG has developed a prepaid solar energy system. It allows low-income households in developing countries to access solar energy through small-scale mobile repayments. These monthly repayments are below the families’ current combined cost of kerosene (lamp oil) and phone charging. This makes M-PAYG’s solution advantageously affordable over their existing energy options. To use the system the families unlock it through mobile repayments.

The idea stems from two years of work with the UN, the Grameen Bank and the World Bank in Asia. A large group of people in third world countries has no access to electricity and no credit rating to procure clean energy solutions such as solar panels. Our solution makes it possible for users to obtain financing for a solar panel and ensure that they can repay in small installments.

M-PAYG is “live” in Tanzania, Uganda and Malawi and are planning to scale our presence throughout East Africa in the coming years. Our global HQ is located on Titangade 11 on Nørrebro in the new SingularityU Denmark - a Hub for some of the leading tech companies in Denmark.

Job description

We are looking for a Sourcing/Business Analyst to help us in an analytical capacity - feeding the product team and C-level with crucial market and data analysis regarding procurement and sourcing of different services, appliances and components crucial to M-PAYG's execution strategy.

M-PAYG consists of a small but dedicated team, and you will work directly with our CPO and product team. We are a flat organization, and your opinion will have a high influence on the direction of the company.
