Proximi.io is looking for a talented hybrid developer, who is ready to get serious with indoor positioning. Proximi.io is a young, energetic startup whose unified proximity platform enables software developers to kick-start location-aware app development in minutes. Through our simple SDK and API, our customers get access to iBeacons, Eddystone beacons, IndoorAtlas, Wi-Fi, GPS and cellular navigation.

You will be collaborating with CTO, Mobile Lead, customer support, general management and quality assurance (in other words, the whole team – we’re still pretty small) to develop React Native & Cordova Plugins to act as a bridge between Proximi.io native iOS & Android SDK's and customer apps.

Your tasks will consist of developing and documenting coding standards, design guidelines and leading training efforts where required to native SDK developers & other personnel. Providing directions to promote React Native & Cordova best practices. You will be improving design, interaction and functionality for existing hybrid applications as well as for new projects. Importantly, part of your job will include working closely with the sales and support personnel in assisting customers in technical issues relating to the hybrid plugins.

You would be either working from our office, located centrally in Maria startup hub in Kamppi, Helsinki – or from distance, as preferred by you.

Here’s a long, exhausting list of qualities that a dream candidate would possess:

- Expert knowledge and passion for JavaScript and modern UI development using frameworks like ReactJS, Vue, Angular, Node, Meteor, etc.

- Basic knowledge of design frameworks like Twitter Bootstrap, ZURB Foundation, PURE or similar frameworks for responsive web development

- Expert knowledge with HTML5 hybrid mobile app development framework like Ionic, Onsen, Framework7, PhoneGap, etc.

- Expert knowdledge with Cordova Plugin development (iOS & Android)

- Basic experience with native iOS and Android development (xCode, Android Studio, Objective C, Swift, Java etc.)

- Basic understanding and experience of writing and performing automated tests (unit, integration, UI)

- Bonus: experience with NativeScript

- Familiarity with enterprise level software development practices (agile methodology, sprints, version control systems, issue tracking tools, local build environments)

- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization

- Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment

- Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly

- Must perform well in high-energy, dynamic and team-oriented environments

- Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills (English)
